It does not change anything. Same IP and so on... (This might be service provider related too ofcourse)
If I unplug the WAN cable, everything goes to 0.0.0.0 except the DNS.
It's still showing the service providers DNS. I wonder if that is normal?
I need to check the modem.

No internet connection after reboot
Hello gurus.
I'm on firmware 2.6.0.1 on my B3. Using it in router/server/firewall mode.
Up time was some 45 days since last reboot, when I noticed one of my USB drives had gone unvisible. Well offcourse I did the obvious and restarted everything after what all seemed fine again, except... NO ...

Re: Minidlna does not clean old file cache.
Yeah... well... Windows 7 at least handles the album art correctly, but the other info will pass as in Win 8 after COPYING the files.
I wonder if there is a program in Linux that can find and merge the album art, song names and other info, since I don't have an XP computer at the moment here ...

Re: Minidlna does not clean old file cache.
The files were copied by a Windows 8 computer and then transfered to the B3.
I then noticed it was all wrong, when played by the home entertainment system...

Minidlna does not clean old file cache.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, since it's a clean install after a new HDD.

Re: B3 LED blinking purple, new HDD, not booting
Same issue here.
It all started by mysteriously loosing access to internet (LAN was still working).
After reboot the led would not turn from purple to blue anymore.
No access to B3 after reboot either.
So... A brand new WD Red 3TB in...
USB reinstall as adviced...
LED green and clearly some work ...

Re: DLNA
Thanks a lot, then we finally pinned this problem down to the 2.3 install build. Updating from earlier versions works fine, and the 2.3.1.1 installer also works fine. Thanks! :)

2.4 update on B3 kills the 5GHz wireless
After the 2.4 update I too had problems getting the FirePlay to run. Everything else seemed to work just fine.
So I followed the instructions and restarted the unit, after which the FirePlay came back to life!

Hello!
I have the Squeezebox Duet and as we all know it now has the icon and duplicate songs issue in the 2.3.1-2.3.2 B3 firmware releases.

Re: How do I change user permissions in telnet?
Yeah. So it is.
I made a new user called "visitor" then I made a new group called "visitor". I can not see the new group in the web GUI, but I suppose that is normal?
Then I gave the command: "usermod -G visitor visitor".
User "visitor" is still in group "users" since he still has all access to all ...

Re: How do I change user permissions in telnet?
OK. I will give that a try. At the moment I'm at an other location, so we will see later.
I get the same error message regarding the permissions when logged in as an admin, so that is why I was asking other methods.
Why I can't change the permissions as an admin... No clue...
