Hi!
I just replaced my harddisk in my B3 from a 1TB to a 4TB Harddisk and would like to copy some files from my home/[username] from the old harddisk to the new harddisk.
I put the old harddisk into an external Case (USB) and attached it to the B3, but didn't find any possibility to access or even to copy to files. How can I mount the old device that I can access and copy the files directly?
I just want to copy the files (Videofiles), no settings, etc.
Best,
Michael

Copy Usercontent from old to new harddisk
Re: Copy Usercontent from old to new harddisk
Should be easy - it's just that Linux doesn't mount attached drives by default.
First we need to find the name of the newly-attached device. What's the output of 'dmesg | grep sd' after you connect the USB?

Hi!
Meanwhile I copied all Files via Network, because I didn't get them mounted.
Best,
Michael
