Duplicity problems - groing large and no list in web interfa
Posted: 11 Feb 2013, 17:08
I've set my 2TB B3 to perform daily backup at http://b3/admin/backup
The data is backed up to the external 2TB Excito bubba storage unit.
Problems
1) How am I supposed to be able to restore from a backup using the web interface?
2) Does the web interface set up duplicity jobs to do some kind of pruning of the backup data, e.g. keep last 14 days of daily backup, every decond day data for the next 30 days back, one set per week for another 3 months and monthly after that or does it keep al daily backups?
3) Can I edit an existing bakcup job to exclude one or several folders?
4) How much disk space should I plan for in order to be able to fit the backups?
5) Any other ideas?

Problems
- http://b3/admin/backup displays the message "Retrieving data for selected backup job. Please stand by" but then hangs.
When loading the page requests http://b3/admin/ajax_backup/get_backup_job_information
and a duplicity process starts on the B3. This process is a real CPU killer.
The AJAX request for http://b3/admin/ajax_backup/get_backup_job_information gets a HTTP 500 internal server error response after exactly 2 minutes. - the folder to which duplicity stores its backup files has >156000 files in it created since the backup job was created 2012-10-05
- the folder where duplicity keeps it data has grown to 771 GB
