Hi,
I unfortunately managed to currupt the /etc/network/interfaces file via the web-UI. This resulted in that the network interfaces on the computer became unusabe.
I inserted the rescue USB (with DO_INSTALL=0) and started the B3. I then mounted the disk and restored the interfaces file to its correct contents (wise from previous mistakes I had a copy).
The problem is that when I restart the system I still do not get working interfaces. Do the B3 read from somewhere else during startup and use these settings? I think that the WiFi is off in the setting in the web-UI but the br interface is used in the interfaces file, can this be the problem? If so how do I enable wifi (on the hard disk) when I have started B3 via the rescue USB?
Best Regards,
Morgan

Re: Is network settings reset when booting [solved]
Hi,
I eventually managed to fix it. After some manipulation of the interfaces file I managed to get eth1 up and running. Then I could use the web-ui to turn on WiFi. Fix the interfaces file again, and then restart.
This is however the short story, there were many many reboots as well as USB boots to get it this working.
So lesson learned yet one more time. If you have enabled IPv6 on bubba never ever tuch anything in the web-ui that can have the slightest possibility to modifi the interfaces file. It will get broken and take quite some effort to get working again.
That said, I really love my B3, cant live whitout it
