This is my problem -> http://b3:9000 is not responding
This is the situation:
1. 'squeezecenter -s' is running
2. No one is listening on port 9000
3. Entering http://b3:9000 results in 'not found' (or so)
I tried out the respective recommendations in this forum already.
I temporarily inactivated my firewall; however, this did not help either.
Can anyone help me?
Regards

Can anyone help, please?
Should I inactivate my McAfee firewall and redo the installation?
Thank you
PS: See also my - potentially related - post 'Something wicked ...' -> might have issues during installation

Re: Can't access http://b3:9000
MacAfee doesn't have anything to do with this problem. The service just doesn't enable the listener and what isn't there can not be blocked (i.e. it wouldn't make any difference if it did).
Since you're on a rather old software version there's not much for me to compare. I found an article that might apply here: http://thismightbehelpful.blogspot.com/ ... buntu.html
Alternatively you could upgrade the B3 software to its current version 2.4.2. This would replace Squeezecenter with the newer version called Logitech Media Server, during which the database is also replaced/emptied.

Re: Can't access http://b3:9000
Thank you.
I'll go for the upgrade.
However, talking about upgrade I have the other issue I posted with the subject 'Something wicked happened resolving 'b3.update.excito.org ..'.
Can you give me a tip for that one too?
Thanks

Re: Can't access http://b3:9000
I reinstalled my B3 via USB stick (I had to try several different USB sticks and holding down the power button longer than described).
And now http://b3:9000 works perfectly.
Thanks
