Hi Excito,
I am using the backup function to backup the email, that works fine and I can restore too. However, when setting up I originally had a timeline of 1 year set. Now I changed that back to one week, but it seems the old timelines are not cleaned up.
Would be handy to have a way through the webinterface to cleanup old timelines.
Thanks,
Albert

backup timeline
Re: backup timeline
HI Albert, they should be cleaned up, but it might take a while before it does. How long have you waited? If they won't clean up after say a few weeks let us know, and we'll investigate.

Re: backup timeline
Hi Johannes,
I changed the settings on Saturday, four days ago. I assumed that the cleanup was done immediately.
I'll give it another week then.

Re: backup timeline
Hi Johannes,
it seems that it works. The old backups were actually cleaned up. However, that excludes the files in
/home/admin/.backup/mail/fileinfo, in that directory it still shows all the older backups info files. These are also the backups shown in the web interface list, which is the reason I still see the old backups. Obviously, since the actual backup has been cleaned up, most of these old backups can never be restored (as they are removed).
So, in short, I think you need to change a few bits in your backup interface to duplicity where it should clean the files in the fileinfo directory.
Cheers,
Albert
