Playing with Microsoft Remote Assistance (on Windows 7) I was directed to a test page which checked routers support. My B3 passed everything except UPnP.
Here's the test page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/using/ ... fault.mspx
I understand B3 has some UPnP support for media playing but don't know enough about this or UPnP to understand what is and isn't supported, whether I could extend this to pass the Microsoft test or for other purposes etc.
Is there documentation on what B3 does/doesn't provide with regard to UPnP?
Thanks
Mark

Re: UPnP support for Microsoft Remote Assistance
The question is why would you want UPnP
In my opinion it has been a big mistake making this protocol and then also implementing it.
Every proces can now create holes in your firewall.

Re: UPnP support for Microsoft Remote Assistance
Agreed. The first thing I do when I get a new router is to disable UPnP. Not that this helps the OP muchEek wrote:The question is why would you want UPnP
