access b3 from internet.

Post by lpm »

Hi,
I'm new to all that is b3, so please be kind to me and spell it out in clear writing. :?

Problem: Trying to access my B3 from internet by using my easyfind name.

-- no access from outside my home network when using easyfind.
-- when using easyfind from inside my home network, I reach the modem/router provided by my ISP (BBB/Telenor). I have tried to forward port 80, but with no success.

Setup:

|
Modem/router (wi/fi)
| | |
| | |
| | |___ Phone
| |
| |___ TV
|
|
B3
|
|-- (computers, routers, squeezebox)

Ok, the forward you tried to do in your router (BBB/Telenor provided) didn't work then, for some reason. You probably need to check the manual for that router, but in principle you should forward (can be referred to as "open" as well) port 80, and direct that port to the IP-number of your B3. Since you are reaching yoru router when trying, the forward isn't working at all, it isn't forwarding port 80 anywhere, so the IP-number isn't the problem here..

I hope you solve it..
