Installing Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze on Bubba|Two server

Post by paulchany »

Hi,

I want to install on my Bubba|Two server a Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze system.

Can I just follow the instructions bellow:
http://download.excito.net/web/BubbaTwo ... stall.html

I think I can't, so please, what would be the proper way to install a Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze system to my hardware?

Any advices will be appreciated!
Best, Pali

Correct, it's not as simple as that. The default installation for a B2 is Etch. There is a post on the forum somewhere with instructions for installing a vanilla build of Squeeze, but you lose all the built in Excito stuff - the web interface etc.

My advice would be to wait a few months for the (hopefully) upcoming Excito provided upgrade.
