Will Mediatomb be finished scanning before I die?

Post by RandomUsername »

Can anyone using Mediatomb tell me how long their initial scan took? Mine's been running four about four days now with no end in sight. I've got maybe 10,000 photos and 100,000 music files (mostly MP3) so I expected it to take some time but this is ridiculous. The only nugget of hope I have is that it at least appears to be working (i.e. not stuck in a loop or anything).

Cheers.

No. It ran for five or six days and then seemed to crash.

Strange, something has to have went very wrong then. Hope you can live without it or that you managed to get it working in the end.

Well it was only an experiment to see if I could use it to stream music to my iPhone. I found a daap client instead so haven't revisited Mediatomb since.
