We are a small business and don't want the hassle or expense of a full server. There are three of us, each in different locations, and each with a desktop and a laptop. Currently we use 3Step Share to share (some of) our emails and calendars, and SugarSync to share our files.
Could we use Bubba 2 as our mail server, downloading from our current ISP (we have our own domain) and then this would deliver e-mails to each of our PC's via the Internet?
If so, could we then configure Bubba mail server as IMAP, so that we could have email on both our desktops and laptops, fully synchronised?
Finally, how would the file sharing work, bearing in mind we would have Bubba 2 in one location? Does Bubba 2 'lock out' access to a file if it is being worked on by someone else?
Does this kind of set up sound feasible, or would we need a Bubba in each location, that could (presumably) be in sync with one another?
I would especially like to hear from anyone who has a similar kind of set up.
Thanks in advance!
