mkv movies streaming

Post by hxa13 »

Hi there..
I have connected my bubba two server to a network media player and I tried to stream video from it. Standard Definition videos works fine however any video with MKV extension didn't work? Anyone has any idea?

Thanks in Advance.

Hello,

I have a B2 and a Popcorn Hour A110 and I can easily stream all file formats (including mkv files) using my wired network. I only use a SMB connection, because the A-110 does not seem to behave properly with the upnp connection.

Thanks, MJ

Well, I am not sure which one is not behaving properly, is it B2 or the A-110. It seems the Upnp server (mediatomb) is not working properly. Anyway, how exactly did you do the SMB connection?

I went to the network share menu in the A-110 and entered the URL such as

Code: Select all

smb://bubba/storage

along with a user and password.

I then disabled the upnp server service in my B2 admin GUI so that no one would try to access the upnp server.
