I am also using my bubba to log energy usage within my house (gas and electricity). I have used components from RFXcom together with heyu to read the usage every 30 seconds. I then log this using rrdtool so that I can get a 'live' picture on a web browser and well as graphs for weekly, monthly and annual usage.

I have also ordered additional component so that I can measure the temperature of my loft, house and outside. I can then get some measure of the efficiency of my house and work out what is the most effective way of improving this.

I have written a small Ajax application to display the last 24hours of usage as a graph and report as well as the current reading in a web browser.
