Torrent questions

Post by Jockewhbg »

I´ve managed to get downloads working. Had problem with getting writeaccess in user-folders but that seems to be working now. I don´t know why but I couldn´t write to any folders but after changing rights to one folder, all folders started to work, including storage-folders. Bug?

Anyway, I´m normally using uTorrent and there you normally should state one port(DHT) which should be forwarded in your firewall. Is this the same port as the starting port 10000 in Bubba? This will also allow others to connect to you. Am I on the right track here? Is there any other ports that needs to be open?

I´ve opened port 10000-14000 as stated in one forum-topic, both TCP and UDP. Is both needed? Download speed didn´t change after I opened the ports but it was quite high before as well. But I still havn´t seen any uploading.

Where can I read more about the Torrent client used? Version number and so on?

Regards

It seems that using the webbased download manager doesn´t work very well. If I put the link to the torrent I get error message Torrent Malformed. If I save the torrent-file to the torrent-directory it starts. When I try to cancel a torrent it doesn´t disappear.

Is it possible for us testing with the torrent in question? Or is it on a private tracker?

Sorry, private tracker. I´ve tried a couple but get the same result. It works when i put the torrent-file in the torrent-directory.
But the cancel function in the download manager doesn´t work very well. The torrent file seems to disappear but it´s still active in the download manager. If I deactivate Up and downloads from admin account and activates it again it disappears.

Ok, sorry. I have now restarted the Bubba and now it seems to be working a lot better. But it would be nice to have more info on the torrent client.
