Bubba Two file manager...

Post by Wiley_Coyote »

I don't get it. What kind of file manager has a "move" command but NOT a "copy"?

To move items from a USB disk you attach to the Bubba data drive, that would seem to be a natural.

Am I missing something obvious here? "Upload" as an alternative seems like it would add a lot of extra overhead, since it looks like it would be using your attached PC as a staging point.

I suppose I can SSH in and do copies that way, but it seems like a waste to have a web interface without a file copy option.

Hi Wiley_Coyote,

You are very correct in the web based file manager, unfortunately, lacks a copy action. This is mostly due to our plans to do a bigger rewrite of the filemanager and thus we postponed this feature. So a copy is on its way.

It also needs a "select all"

@Tor, I've recently used and been very impressed by ExtExplorer (http://extplorer.sourceforge.net/) as a web based file manager. It's open-sauce too so it should play very nicely with the Bubba.

There's a demo here - http://www.extjs.com/explorer/#overview

I might have a go at installing it myself actually.

Any progress on this?

using file manager is not so easy. You cannot add more than one file at once and there is no select all option. Also adding to a photo album is a bit tricky.

Thanks,
