Post by mike_nl »

One question to the admins...

I will use in the first bubba two, i have, a SSD disk.
But all disks what i have seen are in 2.5 inch. So
i need a frame to place the disk in the bubba two.

Admins:
you have an advice for that or something in the shop?
Please help, because i will have a very quite bubba ;-).

Hi,

You have a Bubba Two and want to insert a 2,5" SSD disk? This is usually no problems, there is a small mounting hole that we use, very close to the miniPCI connector. Just screw the SSD directly in the main board and slide the board in.

However, if you have an older Bubba Two (board saying rev B or rev C) that hole is not present. In that case you need to invent something yourself, the standard frames available will probably not fit (since they usually place the disk in the middle, and then the connector gets in the wrong place).

Let us know how it works out! :)

Hello johannes,

thanks for the fast response. What i have seen on the mainboard ;-),
is that the wholes are for a 3.5 inch disk. The board's id is:
Bubba Two RC1 - more i can't find.

But i have seen one time a special frame for the mounting in bubba.
I will do my research ones again and will report that here with
a link to the site.

The second one might work, yes. It all comes down to getting the connector end up in the same position as it is on a 3,5" disk.

I have tried the first one (Patriot warp), it doesn't work I'm afriad.
