Too big for this kernel? 3 TB Disk

Hi

When I tried to connect a 3TB Lacie Disk - either through ESATA or USB -
I got the following errors:

Hi Helios,

Unfortunately our kernel does not atm support "Large block devices" as you found out, max size of a single block-device is 2TB. We will support this with our next big update, that includes a big storage handling improvement.

Until then i unfotunately think your only option is to recompile the kernel. This however is not a trivial operation, that at worst can stop your unit from booting. (If i find time i will however try to write a short howto on this.)
