Is the printer connected to Bubba or to another device (router)?

I also have the same problem.

Setup

I have a HP Photosmart D7360 Printer connected to the Bubba|TWO. The bubba is connected to a Linksys router which is connected to the internet. (the bubba has nothing in the WAN port).

The printer is detected as: "Q7057A", and I have downloaded and installed the correct drivers from HP.

When documents are sent to the printer, they appear in the printer queue. however the web page reports printer status as idle and does not print.

I have checked port forwarding etc on the router and that appears good.

to Minian07:
Are you printing from WAN?
Why do you need port forwarding?

to Rewien:
What OS you have on your PC?
I had no problems with XP and Vista and not yet checked from Linux.
But I have HP DeskJet F2180.
I had feeling today that I had similar sitation (my first document took soem extra time to go to the printer), that ends when I sent test page from printer properties window. But I am not shure and I was not able to repeat that situation.

You could try to send this question to the offical support.
And let others know how you solved that.

to janeks: ty for help,
port forwarding was just something i thought could be causing the issue (as i thought router might be blocking it), not something i desperately need.

to rewien: sorry if i have hijacked your thread a bit, i thought we had same problem so if one of us solves, it could help other.

thanks for any help.

Hello janeks,

Yes I did sent the problem to the official support.
I'm using xp pro, some how Bubba receives the page to be printed, but gives error printer not connected.
Strange because my bubba does find my printer when adding one.

printer Problems fixed!

Post by rewien »

Hello all,

I would like to thank you all for helping me to solve my printer problem.
The solution was quiete simpe.

Carl had send me this link: http://bubba:631/jobs/
when you enter, you can see inside Bubbatwo if he receives the print command and if bubbatwo is connected to youre printer.

The problem in my case was, that although I installed my printwr as it saids in bubbatwo manual
I had to install my printer on this page as wel -> (http://bubba:631/jobs/)
after I had installed my printer, I restarted my bubbatwo and my printer and voila.
My printer was detected and it works!

Thank you all for your patience and help,

Ah thanks, that page is really useful. The printer/job have shown up there, giving me enough info to troubleshoot it. I have not got physical access to the machine & printer atm, but this looks like it will fix it :)

printing problem returns

Post by rewien »

Hello all,

The link Carl gave me last time fixed my Printing problem, but bubba say the same thing again now: "printer not found will try again over 30 sec"

I know where the problem is, when I go to "http://bubba:631/jobs/" I have to add my printer to it then it will work.

But this is my problem now, I can't make changes to that page.
It's telling me to go to de url: "https://192.168.123.166:361/admin." With a message saying update required.

When I click on that link, the whole interface freezes, and am unable to enter to it again.

I already reinstalled bubba two but the problem still remain.
I have updated bubba with the latest update.

If I could just login I could get it to work.

I hope you can help me again,
Rewien

Ps; the Ip on that link that bubba two gives me to enter is of bubba two
