When reinstalling bubba from scratch, is it possible to back up each user's email?
In other words: If I copy everything in each user's /home/userid/Mail/cur and after reinstalling put it back, will everything seem to be the same in an email client?
In otherer words: How do I clean up the mess I've made of my bubba system without my wife noticing that her email is gone?

How to back up email
It's best to copy the whole Mail directory in your home directory on your bubba.
That way you leave the filestructure for the mail server dovecot intact.
Handiest is to put a memory stick in the back of bubba and tar every Mail dir of every user to it's own file. File ownership and rwx settings are important and should be kept intact.
Please stop the dovecot server before copying to make sure now new mail is added.
When restoring mail then do this also when dovecot is not running.
