Hybrid HDD or SSD for B3

Hi All,
The time has come to replace my HDD's in my B3 and external disk. They are beyond my comfort level in age.
Has anyone experimented with Hybrid HDD's, which have an integrated SSD? would it make any difference?
Anyone swapped the HDD for an SSD?

I have an SSD in one of mine, works as expected but there is no speed increase, the bottleneck is not the disk.
