Dear forum members,
Since yesterday am I the proud owner of a B3 device. I putted a 2T RedWD in it, and installation went flawless.
I've put a B3 to replace an old desktop (as NAS) in time. So debian or usermanagment are not new to me.
I read this forum and see many possibilities, yet possiblities that only can be executed as root, or admin here on B3. Still here it seems not possible to give login-access over terminal for admin. su does not do the trick either. How are you doing to ssh to B3 with admin(root) rights?
SSH as user is no problem by the way, but that does not help me a lot of corse.
Also login as user and then upgrade to admin with su is not possible here.
Howto resolve this problem?
Thanks in advance!

no shelllogin for admin
Re: no shelllogin for admin
Just do 'su' to root after logging in as regular user. Password is stated in the users manual. Direct root or admin login is prevented for security reasons.

no shelllogin for admin
Why can't you login as user and then 'su' to get root access? Should "just work".
Re: no shelllogin for admin

It does work?
