Ownership of several dbus files

Hi!

I've noticed today, by chance, that several of the files from the dbus package have a strange UID. For instance:

-rwxr-xr-x  1 1008 100 498467 Sep 27  2006 /usr/lib/libdbus-glib-1.so.2.0.0

The dbus package is a dependency of avahi and mt-daapd.

The problem is that I have an user with this UID (1008).

Do you guys have the same problem?

Besides the zero-conf dependency is dbus used for anything else? Can I purge it from my system?

Hi helder,

The reason for the faulty ownership of files in the dbus package is due to an error on our side when doing the package. We will fix this in the next update.

And dbus is only used for Avahi on our part. But purgeing it could be a bad idea. This due to our Bubba package depending on avahi being present. But if you dont use that it should be no problem.
