B3 Wireless Problem (Sony Vaio Windows 7)

Post by velvet »

Did buy a B3 today for use as Router/Firewall/Server. Wireless works fine with several devices as "HP Laptop", Iphone, HTC Phone, Samsung SmartTV and Samsung Galaxy 5.0 Wifi. The problem is my Sony Vaio with Windows 7 64bit. Can not get the wireless to work to Internet. Get connection with B3, but not out. Worked fine before with router D-link DIR-615. Tried a lot of different settings all the afternoon, WPA, None, WEP, with firewall, without firewall ... Anyone with similar experience?

This might be a problem with the wireless card. I had some problems with an artheros 300 N card not being able to make a stable connection to the B3 wireless. I the end I bought a wlan router.
You might try if you do get a good connection if you connect the Vaio wired. If so the problem is with the WLAN.

I have a stable connecction wired and access to Internet. I also have a stable connection wireless to the B3 but I can not reach Internet, I woundered also if it had something to do with the wireless network adapter in my Sony Vaio. I am really happy with the B3 but in need to get my laptop to work ...
