I running my B3 with RAID via eSata disk. The last day I got error message:
"RAID Array degraded
The array /dev/md0 is degraded"
Anyone know what the problem could be? What I can see the disk seems to be ok.

RAID problem
Re: RAID problem
even a small hiccup in the connection can create this inconsistency. Let it rebuild en keep an eye on it. These things happen. They just should not happen too often

Re: RAID problem
At the moment this happens once a day and I don't think it's normal?dumbo wrote:I running my B3 with RAID via eSata disk. The last day I got error message:

Re: RAID problem
I guess it rebuilds to full between those messages? It does sound suspicious. Can you show the data in in /proc/mdstat when the raid is degraded?
Next step will be having a look at the SMART results. Theres a lot of info on that in other threads.

Re: RAID problem
I guess you're right. In my limited knowledge I'd say either the disk is borked or the cable is flaky. If it's still in warranty you may want to submit a message to Excito.
