Unable to save settings on USB stick

Post by hvw »

I have been trying to save my settings on a USM stick, up to now withoutmuch success. On the Wiki there is a decription on how to prepare the stick (http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/) but I guess it is incomplete since I also read in some post that the first partition needs to be bootable. Anyway, no matter how I try, I always get the same effect: after I select Backup in Settings the Web interface basically dies, so I have to reboot the whole stuff (via SSH). Is there another way to save my settinges or do I just have to hope an pray that the harddisk stays healthy?

This is strange and usually works, what product are you on? B2/B3? What software version?

Note: You don't need to do anything with the USB stick, any standard FAT stick works.

I have Bubba 2 with the 2.0.5 software. There's no difference if I try to backup the settings on the connected SDC1 (USB Stick) or SDB1 (backup disk) : I get after a while te Internal Server Error. As said, I can reach the system via SSH, but not the web interface after and the USB stick is still empty.
