Can't to accomplish Software Update on B2

Hi,

I have installed the new Bubba operating system on my B2 using the downloaded b2-install-2.3D.zip (I think so leastwise. How can I be sure about it?) for a long while.
The command run as root

uname -a

gives:

Linux b2 2.6.39.4-4 #1 Fri Aug 19 14:41:59 CEST 2011 ppc GNU/Linux

Today I did Software Update and at the and (94.43%) I get message:

Was unable to connect to server; This is probably due to temporary shutdown of the webserver during upgrade. Please be patient. Will retry communication in 2 seconds...

This message is there very long time (one hour or so) so what can I do to accomplish Software Update?

You should use: http://update.excito.net/install/latest ... ll-2.0.zip (don't know where you found that file??)

Anyways, the update should not hang. What happens if you reload the page? Or if you restart your B2 and try the update again?

If I reload the page I get the new page on which one can see informations about updated softwares.
If I restart my B2 and login again as administrator, I can see among others that that I have Software version 2.3.0.2 and when I'm trying to update system again, I get error message:

Cannot connect to the updater daemon; Please contact support

However, I can't upload images into any albums.
That was the case previously too before I updated this system.

So I hope in that that when I install on my B2 the just downloaded b2-install-2.0.zip I can use albums to upload images, right? By the way on that b2-install-2.0 image are the softwares new as on the b3-install-2.3.1.1 image? I doubt in that.

Hi Paul, it looks as you have installed the release candidate software (2.4-RC1), and not the install image I pointed to, can this be the case? If so these problems are probably related to known issues in the 2.4-RC1.

We will release a stable 2.4 for B2 soon, with all the software the B3 has, but it is not yet finished, and until that I recommend using the stable B2 installer.
