[Solved] Unable to reach another computer on network

Post by Rageru »

Hi,

I am having problems to reach other computers on my network. I do not know what I have done wrong. My Bubba2 is configured as Router+Firewall+Server and the IP of Bubba is set as default gateway on the clients (via DHCP config from Bubba) all clients can reach the internet and resources on the Bubba.

From the Bubba I can ping all clients and I can ping Bubba from the clients but when I try to ping another client from a computer I get the message:
Pinging 192.168.10.48 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.10.70: Destination host unreachable.
What can be wrong. I do not have any issues with any of the computers when I connect them to other networks.

Hi Rageru
It seems you deliberately tried to supply as little technical info as you could, even obfuscating the internat network addresses. This makes it near impossible for us to help you.

Can you ping the B2?

Sorry about that, I have updated the post. For me it seemed more confusing with the IPs instead of the explanations for what they are :)

As I describe I can reach all resources on Bubba from the clients. So yes I can ping Bubba from the clients.

After going trough 20 articles on the same subject and not finding the solution in any of the tips I finally tested what I should have started with, a restart of the B2. After that all worked like a charm.
