Hi.
In november-ish i updated my bubba, but after that my bubba is often very slow at responding (like 2 or 3 minutes) when i try to reach from the outside. But when i have contact, the bandwidth is good, like 1,5 Megabyte/sec and low ping.
I got no problems from the inside, internet and storage always works. only problems is the common wifi dropout due to those bad drivers.
Quite shure it is not the network, as im on the same network as my university, wich is top class.
So would it be possible to do a downgrade, or is there other solutions? Regarding the update with thor and so on that hopfully will fix it too, can i get the update in the browser interface or will i have to make a new install with an usb stick?

Merry christmas and thank you.

Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
Re: Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
Hi,
I am confused, did you update to 2.4 RC-1 or to something else? The problems you experience are not known to me, I have never seen it nor heard of it, so it's difficult to say anything on that.
The 2.4 update for B2 requires a re-installation, but updating from 2.4-RC1 to 2.4 stable is only a web-update.

Re: Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
I did a web update at the beginning of noveber. Right after it was slower.
I tried pinging it but then i get no answer. Can try to plug it into another internet connection when i come home.
Software version is 2.0.5
bubba-frontend 2.0.0.9
bubba-backend 2.0.0.11
bubba-album 2.0.0.4
filetransferdaemon 0.50.20
squeezecenter 7.5.4.dfsg1-2
Would it be possible to update to 2.4 in the browser in the future? i dont want to risk loosing all the data.
Thank you

Re: Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
No, unfortunately since 2.4 is a large upgrade of the underlying system we need to release this as an installer only. However, this can be done without loosing data under /home, but all system settings will be gone.86ivar wrote:Would it be possible to update to 2.4 in the browser in the future? i dont want to risk loosing all the data.

Re: Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
Okay! Just to be shure, does /home include the storage folder?
Re: Why is my bubba2 so slow on respond after update?
The storage folder is located under /home/storage. So that's a yes.

Okay.
But seems i found a "solution" to the problem. Always have a active torrent downloading or uploading.
Hmm.
