Automatically logged off when playing music

I log on to my B3 from work and start the music player, FirePlay.
I start to play, say an ACDC album.
After a certain amount of time (not sure, could be 20 or 45 minutes) the music stops and the browser pops up a logon dialogue asking for my username and password.
Entering the details into this dialogue wont work however - but logging on again on the B3 frontpage will.

Is there any way of not getting logged off when listening to music?

Hi Kenned,

There are a number of limitations of number of connections, and timeouts in /etc/apache2/apache2.conf.
Please have a look in /var/log/apache2/error.log
Try to match the timestamps to when you last had the problem.

It might give a clue to what limitation is causing this behaviour?

It's a weird workaround, but logging into mij Bubba (two) and clicking on Downloads keeps me connected most of the time.

Maybe it's the firewall on the company that resets the connection? Try and connect to the B3 via ssh from work if that is possible via the fw.

If we are correct this is due to a session timeout set to 30 minutes. We have this on our bug list and it will be fixed with the B3 released this summer (provided we are correct with this assumption).

Hi, I would just like to point out that the same issue exists on Bubba Two, would be great if it could be fixed there as well.

Did the firefly login timeout issue get fixed?

Stil excists in B3 v2.3 at my machine.

Is this a bug?
Thought it was an Apache property. (server session ... or something like that)
But ofcourse firefly could poke the server every minute to keep the session open.

Yes, we thought we solved it but apparently it's still there, now moved to 2.4 for a fix. Apparently it wasn't only the apache session timeout, but something deeper.. We have our eyes on it for 2.4 anyways, sorry for the delay.
