Yes I agree. I have reloaded the root partition (preserving the data partition). I even manually reconfigured the B3 settings again rather than restoring the old settings file in case they were the cause. However I still have the problem together with another issue with minidnla not being properly installed or configured.
It appears that the reason I get a poor download via ftp is because the process doesn't start instantly although the interface does because the download speed sits at 0kbps for ages before it starts which reduces the overall average download speed. I can't compare it with URL because that still doesn't work.
It seems that my only option now is to blow everything away and do a full vanilla installation. I am now in the process of backing up my data to be able to try from scratch.
I will update once I get a chance to try it.
