Re: CUPS Question
Hi Rene,
The simple answer is:
http://bubba2:631/
or
http://b3:631/
I guess the answer is not that simple though, which means you will have to tell us a bit more about what it is you want to do...
Cheers,
Cheeseboy

Re: CUPS Question
Hello Cheeseboy,
When i want to add a printer i just simply get a "Forbidden" message...
In B2 i added the printer there and it worked, when adding it in the Excito webpage it would not work.

Re: CUPS Question
Hi again,
I still use my Bubba2 as printer server, and I'm not sure if I ever used the Bubba2/B3 web interface to add a printer, or if I used the Cups interface.
Could you please tell us the exact steps including the contents of /var/log/cups/access_log and /var/log/cups/error_log?
Ah, and if you get a 403, perhaps the Apache log too?
Best regards,
Cheeseboy

Re: CUPS Question
I was going to say it's kinda strange that this would be an apache config error as we all have the exact same config file and it apparently does not throws this error for other users.
But then I checked my own bubba and I also get a 403 error hahaha

Re: CUPS Question
Sorry I have absolutely no experience with CUPS or remote printing. I even do not have a networkable printer. My suggestion would be to follow the recipe that cheeseboy posted, and very carefully look at the logfiles.
Re: CUPS Question
Hi Rene,
The URL indicates that you are trying to access the web interface through HTTPS.
The errors indicate a SSL/TLS error...
Could you try it with a normal HTTP URL? As it is your local network, it should be safe...
Best regards,
Cheeseboy

Re: CUPS Question
Hi Rene,
I did my test before writing my last reply on my Bubba2.
I now tested it on the B3, and after I clicked "Add printer" it also wanted a HTTPS redirection.
However, I had no problems with that.
I have a SSL certificate installed on Apache, but this is a different process, so should be of no influence.
Firefox just told me that the certificate of the web server was insecure, and I could then add an exception to the security rules....
Perhaps you should look into your browser settings?
Or perhaps use the B3 web interface to add your printer, rather than the CUPS one?
Best regards,
Cheeseboy
