HI all,
At about the same time every night (around 22:00) my B2 becomes totally unresponsive for a few minutes. I can't access it via SSH, samba, through the web, nothing.
There's nothing in my log files that might indicate what the problem is and no cron jobs set to run at that time.
I want to be able to leave something running that will, for example, log the CPU, IO, memory etc. every few minutes so I can see what's happening at that time.
Does anyone have any good suggestions about what to use? If not, I'll just knock up a script that runs a whole load of commands every few minutes and dump the output into a text file.
Thanks.
Darren.

Re: Tools to monitor and log system status?
Thanks for the invite. I hadn't thought of doing that. I will set this up tomorrow (at work now, Saturday night, boring, might deliberately cause a server crash just for something to do
)

Re: Tools to monitor and log system status?
if you want to join in on the server, send me a PM with your ip address and hostname (change it in config to yourname.bubba).
