Iphoto and B3

Post by hallemar »

Has anyone successfully got the B3 server to work with iphoto?
I cant seem to direct the iphoto library to B3 even though I have checked the box for "read and write" for everyone in the get info-panel.
Any clues, anyone?

How are you trying to access the B3?

I don't own a Mac but I imagine the iPhoto library uses resource forks which are not supported by Samba. AFP does support resource forks so you would need to enable AFP sharing in the web interface.

Hi
thanks.
I am trying to access via the wireless network.
You can direct iphoto to a place on a disc but obviously not to the B3.
Where do I enable the AFP-sharing?

Yes but have you mounted the AFP share? I've no idea how to do that but I don't imagine you just do what you do for a samba share.

Thank you. I mounted the disc with Bonjour mounter, worked just fine. But there is an issue with the B3 because it goes offline aftee 10 minutes when I try to import iphoto-pictures to my redirected library in the mounted b3 partition.
