My favourite bookmarks/favourites synching tool X-Marks haven't found a financially viable business model and will therefore stop operating from Jan.2011.
Some people have looked at creating local solutions (http://lifehacker.com/5651152/how-to-co ... e=true&s=i), but they unfortunately only work with Firefox.
How about creating this synching capability on our own Bubba servers? for Chrome, IE, Firefox,...?

I don't think it's as simple as you make it sound 
For me, Firefox Sync is the logical replacement for my beloved Xmarks as I almost exclusively use Firefox.
PS. Xmarks are exploring alternative options such as premium accounts or a buyout so all is not lost just yet.
