FTP configuration

What is the name of the FTP server software shipped in Bubba2? Is there an online manual for configuration?

The reason I ask is that all I know from the Bubba2 documentation is this:
* FTP server can be switched on/off from the web admin interface.
* Anonymous FTP server access can be switched on/off from the web admin interface.
* Every registered Bubba2 user will get their own account on the FTP server.

But I want to create FTP users without registering them as Bubba users. That must be possible... And other configuration options I might want to do is to for example set the same home catalog for more than one user, and disable write access for them.

I didn't find anything related to these questions when searching previous forum threads.

It's called ProFTP - http://www.proftpd.org/.

IIRC, the online documentation is very extensive.
