Hi
I managed to replace the disk with a kingston SSD drive.
Is this normal temperature?
hddtemp /dev/sda

Re: Running B3 without hard drive
Any guide on installing an SSD?
The use manual only states how to replace a normal SATA drive.

Running B3 without hard drive
Is it possible to remove the hard drive and run B3 normally?
I have another external server and don't really need the disk in there as it makes the B3 very hot (around 50C) and it is stored in a place with limited air getting inside.

Re: B3 dies without errors
Collisions should not normally happen on a switch, but it could be that the switch is faulty. In such as case, it will loose network connectivity. It could also be that the port on the switch is either half or full duplex while the port on Bubba is set to different speed. When you say complete ...

Bubba kernel setting
I came across this setting and added it to the kernel, which made Bubba not die when running Squid. Perhaps it also helps to reduce other crash cases. It has to do with tcp congestion control.

Re: B3 WiFi with LAN connection problem
Bubba should be connected to whatever WAN device you have directly, so it gives IP direct to Bubba.
do you get this in your syslog?

Re: B3 WiFi with LAN connection problem
I think if you don't use a switch with VLAN tagging, it will mix two networks in one collison domain which can create confusion for routers and the result will be unstable connection. It seems like this was the problem with me..
It also increases the risk of duplex mismatch in one side.

Re: B3 WiFi with LAN connection problem
Also make sure the cable from the cable modem or ADSL modem is directly connected to Bubbas WAN port and not going through a switch.

B3 photo album not accepting passwords
For some reason the photo album is not accepting users, I know that the admin user does not work, but normal users should be able to login.
//Edit problem solved: this seem to happen when SSL redirect is forced, switched back. seems like the album does not accept SSL connections.

not sure about this, but I would recommend strongswan or pptp vpn, they are on the wiki.
