I had made a back up of the bubba confing file in sites-enabled and apache2 was attemping to start duplicate virtual servers...
Again, many thanks, I've now moved the file and apache is now starting without any errors...

No definately not, apache2 is running, I just tried a page i know is not there in my browser and got the apache 404 error ie.

I have got httpd running again with the following warns by removing the line
Listen 443
from the top of ./sites-available/bubba
are the warnings anything to be concerned about?
also does anybody know a good howto on setting up ssl?
going to make a back of /etc/apache2 in case I mess it up ...

I have been playing with apache attempting to get SSL working. I had just tried to get /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/bubba to look for my self signed certs and restarting of apache failed and has left me with no web service!

After some more playing, it appears that what I can see is being offered up by media tomb, however I'm still only seeing some things in PC-DIRECTORY, anybody clued up on media tomb?

I have similar concerns to the above, I have bubba2 connected via LAN port to my network and use port forwarding on my router to port 80 only, all other inbound traffic is not allowd. My appologise, this appears to work, i just tried browsing to the site from a proxy based anonymous site and it works, must not like trying to connect to itself from inside the network using the outsite ip...? not sure why?

Yeah i checked that after i posted last night, 192.168.0.4 is the pc i was using... So it looks like the traffic is getting through? I am just trying to view the default page in home/web/ could it some sort of firewall (http from www is enabled), what I dont understand though is doesn't bubba just ...
