Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
I wonder what logitechmediaserver code Excito for "there" version of the squeezebox media server :?: .
For the last couple of Bubba versions for both B2 and B3, I've changed to the official Ubuntu/Debian Logitech Squeezebox releases versions 7.7.1 or 7.7.2 (http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download), and ...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4
I've just upgraded to this 2.4 release, which went smoothly. :D
I seems that most things works very well, and even the new logitechmediaserver (LMS) is able to stream video to a Sony Bravia TV 8) (of course still limited by the crippled numbers of formats supported by Bravias). Haven't checked if ...

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.3
Just wonderful :D , hope there will be one for Bubba|Two soon too  .
MiniDLNA as the UPnP streaming server :D , which will feed those crappy DLNA implementations like Sony Bravia, is a fine move.

Using Sony Bravia televisions with Bubba|Two software ver. 2
Asked by another forum member, I will try to give a short description of how to make Bubba|Two work with the crappy implementation of the DLNA protocol used in Sony Bravia products. Thanks to some great work from Excito and developers of the open source minidlna server, this is made pretty simple in ...

minidlna package and Sony Bravia and other TVs support
I've installed minidlna on my B2 (Ver 2. SW) from the excito repository, and in fact it works fine with the troublesome Sony Bravia DLNA implementation.
The package does seem to have a little bug though, as It doesn't start automatically when the B2 is rebooted. As far as I can debug, it seems that ...

Missing favicon.ico on new ver. 2 install from USB image
Hey,
Yesterday I did a fresh install of my B2, which went pretty smooth I think. The server seems to run fine, and the new interface is certainly a great improvement - thanks you guys for this update. :D

Thanks Carl, sound great...
I haven't yet been able to find what minidlna does to satisfy this crippled DLNA protocol in Bravia, even though I've been reading the source code too - it looks pretty simple, but I'm not sure it's simple enough to me though :? . Only found that there too is a limit in ...

Re: Sony Bravia
Yes, Sony has a crippled implementation of the DLNA protocol - so PLEASE, PLEASE don't by their crappy DRM Bravia W5500 flat panels (and probably all other series) if you haven't already done, as Sony doesn't support you on this DLNA issue after you have bought neither. :x

Exciting
I find this topic - an external case in Bubba|Two design - exciting. And it would be great if RAID 1 would become an option two. These features would become useful and nice to me too, and a great completion to an already superior product.

Using Bubba|Two as LAN only server - disabling WAN
Using Bubba|Two as a LAN only server, not connecting the WAN port, demands that you use DHCP to configure the LAN IP adress.
Manually configuring the LAN IP address, do not allow manually configuring the gateway and DNS server, making it impossible to use filedownload, webmail or even the update ...
