Moving bubba away from router

I currently have my bubba on a shelf in our stairwell, next to our wireless router. I am considering moving it away from the router, to a less visible location.

I have a couple of questions. Has anyone tried connecting their bubba to a wireless router via an access point? Has anyone tried connecting their bubba to a (wireless) router using a Homeplug adapter (LAN over mains electricity wiring)?

Cheers, Ian.

I thought I would answer my own post, in case it helps anyone else.

I bought a pair of Alecto HomePlug compatible adapters. One end plugs into an Ethernet port on our router, while the other one is plugged into a mains socket in a cupboard; the bubba plugs into this one. This means that I am able to hide our bubba in a (lockable) cupboard, but still have access to it anywhere in our house...

I'm not sure if there's any kind of bottleneck with the adapters (the data speed depends on all sorts of factors, such as the quality of the wiring, what else is plugged in etc.), but the bubba still can stream music to two separate Soundbridges without any trouble...

Cheers, Ian.

I use a wireless access point (D-LINK DWL-G700AP) as a bridge to my Bubba at home, to allow it to be placed close to my printer without having to do wiring just for this. Works great.
