Hi All, this is my first posting but I am having a lot of problems with my bubba.
I have had my bubba for about two months now but every time I try to download a file bubba downloads to about 97% then lock-up. the only thing I can do is shut bubba down but that does not work correct no matter how long I hold the button in the light does not stop blinking eventually I have to put the plug out.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you downloading torrents or just regular files?
I don't think I can help you out, but the answer to my question may be useful to the Excito devs or other more knowledgeable forum users.

Hi,

You should not need to hold in the powerbutton until it shuts down. Hold it pressed until the light starts flashing, in about 5 seconds, and then release the button and then it should shut down.

Regarding downloads. Does any download work at all? We have some known issues with the download manager that we are working on to fix. But it should not be that fatal as you seem to experience.

If these problems persists there might be some more serious problem with your unit. Please keep us, Excito, informed.

Hi Tor
I have tried once more to download a mp3 file but again the download gets to 99% and then stops.
The disc icon in Firefox that indicates that the file is downloading keeps spinning but nothing happens.
If I try to go to the home page I get no were in fact the only thing to do is shut down and restart Bubba.

Ok just to clarify (This can be quite confusing),

You are downloading from Bubba to your workstation using the web-admin filemanager? Ie not using the download manager to download stuff to Bubba?

Hi Tor
Yes it is Download Manger that is giving me the problem.
I have no problem with Windows Explore of Bubba's Filemanger

Hi,

Im sorry that i ask again but im not sure we are talkin about the same "downloads" You should in principle never se a "busy mousepointer" when using the download manager.

It sounds like this happens when you press a link in web admin / Filemanager and not web admin / Downloads? (There should be no links in the Download menu).

OK lets make this clear
Sorry it has taken three attempts
The problem is using the download manager to download any file not just torrents from the internet to Bubba.
Using Windows Explore of Bubba's Filemanger to move files to Bubba from other computers on my network works fine, it also works fine moving files from Bubba to any other computer on my network.
I hope this makes things clear.

Sorry

Brian
