Hi,

As I'm a complete noob when it comes to any flavour of linux, I'd like to create a frankenbubba  to test any configuration changes before I apply them to Bubba. I'm using VMware workstation and hope to install debian and make a clone of bubba. Can anybody give me any tips on what/how to install apps and to make my vm as similar to Bubba as possible? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Terry.

It will be hare for you to make the VM act as a Bubba. This is mainly because Bubba is running on an ARM processor and the debian packages that we provide are only compiled for ARM, they will not run on an X86 based computer.

You can use Qemu to emulate ARM cpu on x86 machine, but it is slow (much slower than VM).
