Mono on bubba?

Has anyone tried to install mono on bubba?
Is there a package somewhere available or should I try to build myself from sources?

I couldn't find the package in the standard debian repositories:

Code: Select all

habrys@bubba:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
# sarge (stable)
deb http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/ sarge main
deb http://security.debian.org/ sarge/updates main
deb http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/ sarge non-free

deb http://update.excito.net/ bubba main

habrys@bubba:~$ sudo apt-get install mono
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package mono

Hi habrys,

Mono is not available in Debian sarge. It is however included in backports, http://backports.org (And it is also available in Etch and thus should be available on Bubba as soon as we get that done)

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, tor.
I was just about to build mono from sources, which could take a while on bubba...

Sorry for going off topic, but maybe i missed something :)
Are you going to make a "firmware" based on debian etch? That would be great :)

msx,

Yes an Etch install image is very much in the works. Has unfortunately taken a little longer than expected.
