Hi guys,

I'm looking for an upgrade of my standard 80G HD, but all drives I can find are about 26mm in height. When I try to fit them into my Bubba, it won't fit... Am I doing something completely wrong? Or should I be looking for smaller (+/- 20mm) harddrives?

Hi!

No, you are not doing anything wrong. When we assemble 80 GB disks (thinner) we use larger metallic distances between the board and the disk. If changing to a larger (full height) disk, replace these metallic distances with standard washers, same size and thickness of those on top of the board. If you can find washers with about 0.7-1.0 mm thickness, this will make a perfekt fit.
