Has anyone used the Bubba server with a DLink DSM320 Media Lounge? If so how well does it work?
What are the options available on the media client for viewing/listening to the streaming media? Does the Bubba support playlists and can a user search for music by folders?
Regards
James

Hi netpage,
Not being totally objective since i work at Excito. But i do use a D-Link DSM-520 at home and that works fine for me. I had to do some minor config changes to get the D-Link to play nice with subtitles and other stuff, more info:

Playlists are not supported atm. But in the works. You can search music by folders at least if you choose the "PC directory" view.

The list on
http://mediatomb.cc/pages/devices tells me that the Pinnacle Showcenter 200 is supported - but I don't see how it works... If I point the Showcenter at
http://bubba:49152, I get a part of a html-page - and then Showcenter freezes. What could be wrong here?

Sorry for replaying to a very old thread, but I've now been testing testing the d-link DSM320RD for a while and I have to say that it's really crap. About half of the files I tried it to play it didn't play at all. The other half played but was practically unwatchable anyway because of the movie stopping for rebuffering very often (like every 2-3 seconds). Eliminated the Bubba being the problem by trying from another upnp server.
I've now replaced the d-link with a Snazio* SZ1350. This player works like a charm out of the box with Bubba. Plays everyting I've been trying without problems this far (using wireless!).
Conclusion: Choose your media player carefully. Don't buy a d-link 320. I know though that Tor uses a d-link DSM520 and is happy with it. Guess the higher number really counts...
