OT: Android WiFi connection issue

Not so much B3 related, but I can't find any answers elsewhere and maybe somebody here has some clue what's happening.
I have configured my B3 to publish three SSID's. One of these is WPA encrypted and the other two are non password protected networks with a limited number of connections and one them meant for visitors. I've used all of these SSID's successfully with a number of devices, including my own android phone. Today however my mother in law came in with an android tablet and it simply refuses to connect to the guest network (named "guest"). I tried connecting it to the encrypted SSID which is my home network and it happily does so. Lifting the MAC address restriction on the second unencrypted network it also has no issue whatsoever. And that network is even more restricted than the guest network is, because I only run squeezebox devices on it. Trying to connect to "guest" I simply do not see any activity on the B3. I'm quite sure this has to be something in the tablet, but has anyone ever seen this type of behaviour before?
