Write speed at the usb/esata port
Posted: 08 Nov 2013, 16:14
I experience slow write speed both on the usb and the esata port. I tried a single external disk (ext4) on the usb port, a level 5 raid, and an btrfs 10 raid at the esata port. I only get about 10Mb/s write speed. I am using dd reading from /dev/null to meassure.
I have to admit, that I moved away from the original bubba installation. Hence, I am interested in what the write speeds are expected to be. Is there a special kernel parameter/driver for the esata/usb chip which is enables in the bubbe kernel and I should know of?
Thank you for you help.
Best,
Wolfgang
