Failed B3 (and another one)

Unfortunately I have the same symptoms as described in the post “Failing B3” and “Failed B3 (another)”. Things like I can't turn it off and it doesn't boot, no access via SSH, etc.) So it looks like a failed HD and that after just one year in use.

Now, how does it look like with Excito's warranty if I remove the HD? Will the warranty be void (as stated in their terms and conditions 3.6.)? Is it better to send in the B3 as it is? Shall I try a complete re-install first? What happens to my data on the disk? What is your experience?

Thanks
PS: I opened a new thread because it's more about warranty than solving the HD failure.

I'm sure they've stated on the forums that removing the HDD will not void the warranty. Did you buy the HDD as part of your B3 or separate. Either way, you should have the standard EU two year warranty and I think some HD manufacturers offer even longer warranties.

Shirt answer, contact whoever you got the drive from (either support@excito.com or whoever).
