On the web-admin, services page, would it not be possible to add the avahi-daemon service remark box.
So it would be possible to stop/start the avahi-daemon service, like the other services, eg FTP and so on.

Sure, that should not be a big thing. We will add it to our wanted feature list.

But why do you want to disable it?

Hi,

The reason is that if you run a server, sometimes you dont want it to automatically register its services to other services.
And if it is possible to manually shut it down or activate when you want to, you could spare some little ram. For those of us who try to cram every ounce of ram out of it.
