What will stop working if I stop mysqld?

Hi, I'd like to reduce the CPU usage on my B3 (because I've convinced myself it saves electricity). and my current biggest CPU Time process is mysqld, I know squeezebox uses it but I've stopped that but it seems like some part of the web-interface also uses it (the photo-sharing thing I think)

Is it safe to stop mysqld or will I break the web gui? (or will everything except the photo-thing work?)

Regards
Richard

Why don't you try it? You can always start it again ;)

I think Horde uses mysql so all your webmail would be broken and I think you're right about the photo album.

The basic functionality of the web interface should still work though.

I just don't want to break anything that I'll not be able to fix :) but I'll give it a try. I'll report my finding soon

EDIT: it worked like a charm, accessing photos or email gives a nice and clean error page but nothing crashed. Awesome! Thanks for the help!
