Hi everyone,
I'm about to be the proud owner of a new Excito B3 WIFI (it's in the post, apparently

)- We've recently moved country so we're also shopping for a new HDTV. Since we now have a new Bubba in our family to consider, what brands/models of HDTV can you recommend (or not) for streaming content from the B3 to the TV? We're your average kids who would want to watch Xvid movies and TV episodes, maybe DVDs we have backed up to ISO or other formats, and JPEG pics from our camera.
What works and what are the limitations? Any suggestions? I've only seen Samsung and Sony Bravia mentioned in the forums here. PS: I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in shell...
Many thanks!
Matt

I have a Western Digital HD Live TV or what it's called. I'm very satisfied. It's cheap, about 70€ and plays almost everything. The only thing it cant play that I have noticed is an Iso spilt into rars. It has no propblem to play a 1080p movie which is stored on my B3.

Sony are not famous for their conatiner support, so for example MKV's may not play at all. LG's and Samsungs have better support.
But I would choose the tv based on the picture quality, more capable media players are available under 100 euros anyway.

Hello
I do not use DLNA but i have a cable/satellite receiver with perfect playback for video (avi,mkv...) audio.
I use a shared disk to connect the B3/B2.
Its called the Azbox HD+ and the Azbox ME

Thanks for your input so far guys.
I think we'll probably look at an LG TV. But as you mentioned Nrde, picture comes first for us too so if we buy a non-LG, non-Samsung TV we'll probably have to invest in some kind of external media server e.g. Popcorn Hour, WD HD Live TV etc. (thanks for that suggestion karl-petter - it looks pretty good).
Keep the suggestions coming! All help appreciated.

Aah I missunderstood you but great you liked it. Though regarding a TV I bought a LG 42LD465 this spring and is very satisfied. Specifically since it just cost about 450€
